Motorized Kayaking is an Amazing Experience and I'll Show You the Proof
Here's an opportunity to view a recent motorized kayak trip to the Scarborough Marsh in Scarborough, Maine in several ways - you can watch the GoPro trip video to get a good feel for the place, view the high resolution super telephoto photos in the image gallery below, or watch some high resolution 4K UHD video towards the bottom of the page. Be sure and make your way down the page and watch the video, there's always lots of good surprises in there!
And then the train came through...
At precisely 8:11 AM, the Amtrak Nor'easter came thundering through the marsh on its way to Boston. I situated myself to capture what was about to transpire. Be sure to view the high-res photos and watch the 4K UHD videos for this scene, it was great fun to experience.
At first, the flock simply was looking to abandon their position. The reason they were there in the first place was to take advantage of the currents and eddies that form in this one particular spot on the Nonesuch River. It's a place that acts to congregate schools of fish that are feeding when the outgoing current of the river interfaces in a certain way with the incoming (rising) tide.
So, they soon went back to their feeding frenzy, and started leapfrogging each other up the river, following the fish and plundering as they went.
They continued this rolling thunder review several hundred yards up the channel.
Here's the 4K UHD video I promised to show you. Enjoy!
