Today's adventure was to the Scarborough Marsh area in Scarborough, Maine. It was wonderful to be surrounded by so many shorebirds, and resulted in the some of the closest encounters I've had with most of the species you'll see in the photography and video.

After motor-kayaking the West Shirley Bog for Moose in the morning, I added Bald Mountain Pond to the list. It wasn't easy to find, but now I know how to get there! It is a true wilderness experience, with only one barely visible structure on the shore, and on the day of my visit, my only company were a couple of through hikers at the Appalachian Trail camp site at the far Northwest end of the lake.

The combination of gear that I was using resulted in the greatest success rate (i.e., number of keepers) that I've ever had by a wide margin.
