After motor-kayaking the West Shirley Bog for Moose in the morning, I added Bald Mountain Pond to the list. It wasn't easy to find, but now I know how to get there! It is a true wilderness experience, with only one barely visible structure on the shore, and on the day of my visit, my only company were a couple of through hikers at the Appalachian Trail camp site at the far Northwest end of the lake.
